Question of the Week

With the holidays approaching, many of us find them to be especially hard to celebrate.  Do you have any plans for including the memory of your dead baby (special candle lighting, ornaments, prayers) in the holidays?  Have you decided to start a tradition for "remebering" your child during the holidays?  Do you plan on purchasing gifts for your child, or in memory of your child?  What special plans, if any, do you have for the holidays that are based around the death of your child(ren)?

  1. I used that $15 Kodak credit to make an ornament with Leila's face on it, and I'll probably pick up an angel ornament somewhere. Maybe I'll make a donation to March of Dimes. I don;t have much planned, so your ideas are eagerly awaited!

  2. We are going to set up a second tree, a small one in our front window decorated just with ornaments that make us think of our daughter Peyton. Our feeling is that with that tree lit, all who pass our house will be blessed by her spirit.

  3. We have an ornament for Jessica. This will be our 24th year to hang it on the tree.

  4. A coworker got me a remembrance ornament and that was so nice. I can put a picture in it. I definitely plan to do something special. I haven't decided what yet.

  5. Im a little late, but...
We put a small tree in at the cemetary today, with a small angel on top and little pink and white ornaments. We;re also getting remembrance ornaments for each of them. My son's preschool did Operation Christmas Child, and I asked for 2 extra boxes, and put them together for little girls. I wish I could do more, but somehow I think nothing would ever be enough.
